Photographs by Erica is a professional newborn photographer in Memphis, TN and made the trip to Auburn, Alabama to capture baby Hamilton’s arrival into this world. I had my SUV packed with everything needed to capture baby Hamilton in his new home. A couple of things I couldn’t possible have done without would be my Westcott’s ice light, Posey pillow and a ton of blankets and props.
I photographed this beautiful baby over two days and was able to capture this gorgeous newborn in a variety of poses, and with a variety of lighting. I used natural light whenever possible, but did use my Westcott ice light for this session. When I’m photographing newborn and children in the studio in Memphis I do use artificial light whenever it is needed. Newborn photography needs to be done with a spotter at all times for the session to be safe for this beautiful baby. There was someone sitting next to this baby for the entire session.
This gorgeous photo could not have been captured without Cute Couture making those crazy beautiful pants. War Eagle!!
I also try to use stuff from the families’ home whenever possible. It gives the newborn session more of an inmate feel and creates beautiful memories for the family. This new dad is an avid hunter, so we tried to tie in his love for the outdoors and their decorative anesthetics into this newborn photography session.
